About Him
I'm a well-educated professional gent and a good conversationalist. Am honest, kind, affectionate, passionate and romantic.
I love my children and pets in general and its important to me that prospective partners also like animals.
I enjoy the outdoors, particularly walking, cycling and hiking but also enjoy reading, movies and wining and dining with interesting people.
Complete honesty and loyalty are strong characteristics of mine and I would expect reciprocity from a partner. A good mutual physical attraction is also essential in my book and I would hope that my partner would look after her body and stay reasonably fit. I also think it is important that compatible people are fairly like-minded or to put that in a different way, "see the world in a similar way."
My recent passion was developing a fynbos garden at my holiday cottage by the sea-not just any garden but a truly magnificent one, which, with the typical wind strength at Rooiels, was a worthwhile challenge!! Cottage recently sold but new garden in Noordhoek already looking great!!
About His Ideal Match
In a perfect world with unlimited choice (I'm a dreamer too!)my "special lady" would probably have the following type of profile:
-She could become my best friend and confidant in time.
-She should be attractive (at least to me!-chemistry is very important in my book), intelligent, enthusiastic and spontaneous. She must be happy and relaxed and smile!
-She should be completely open and honest at all times, stand up for what she believes in (I'm irritated by people who try to impress one by saying things they believe you will want to hear) and generally be someone I would always be very proud to have at my side!!
-In both good and bad times(particularly the latter) I believe two people "need to see the world, in general, in much the same way" to facilitate real communication-beyond the "small talk stage"! This probably requires similar backgrounds, beliefs and understandings-as opposed to the premise that "opposites attract each other".
-Overlapping interests/hobbies would be a bonus but I have no problem with independent areas of pursuit-which can often add enrichment to each others lives.
In summary she would be someone I would be very proud to introduce to my family and friends-and of course one hopes she could become the love of my life and eventually my wife. Am I dreaming? No I believe such a match exists out there somewhere and its just a question of finding her.
